At the center of our research are metal-rich compounds of early transition metals. Current work is focused on the synthesis, structure elucidation and the determination of physical properties of novel substances as well as on a further development of the understanding of the connection between the properties and structures of chemical compounds. One main focus is the production of new materials, which have technologically interesting and usable properties. For this purpose, methods of classical solid-state chemistry, solvent-chemically oriented molecular complex chemistry and theoretical methods of modern quantum mechanics are used.
